Allegations against Dr Giraldi Home "totally rejected"


The Social Services Agency says it "totally rejects" the allegations which the Gibraltar Gay Rights spokesman, Felix Alvarez, has once again made concerning staff at Dr Giraldi.

As stated on previous occasions, the Social Services Agency always thoroughly investigates any specific allegations made by a parent or other next of kin against any aspect of service delivery or against any member of staff, and if the circumstances so require, an appropriate course of action is taken.

The Agency, in a statement, condemns the resurrection of these allegations by Mr Alvarez, by which he has once again cast aspersions and collectively smeared all the members of staff at Dr Giraldi.

Minister for Social Affairs, Yvette Del Agua has said: “If Mr Alvarez wishes to conduct a political campaign against the GSD Government, and in particular against the Chief Minister, he should not do so at the expense of the professionalism and integrity of the staff at Dr Giraldi”.
