Tatchell joins calls for Inquiry outside political debate Controversial Gay Rights Activist Peter Tatchell was amongst one of the key figures protesting outside the doors of the John Mackintosh Hall demanding an inquiry into allegations made against Doctor Giraldi Home.
Tatchell, who was supporting the GGR Civil Rights campaign groups organised protest, stood side by side with Feliz Alvarez, families and freinds of patients and staff from Dr Giraldi Home, and former worker Joanna Hernandez whose industrial tribunal case has brought to the forefront some of the allegations being made.
In a somewhat peaceful and controlled protests the demonstrators chanted slogans calling for an inquiry as GSD candidates walked into the John Macintosh Hall. The main bulk of the chanting was seen as leader Peter Caruana entered the building escorted by plain clothes police.
The demonstration soon dispersed as the participants of the live debated finished entering the building.
