Alleged resignation at Social Services fuels call for explanation from Beiso Following a scathing attack by Government in which it rejected all the claims made by the Opposition and Mrs Tony Beiso against the Social Services, Beiso has come out publicly calling on Government to provide a full explanation on the alleged resignation of Social Services Official Mrs Tosso.
Speaking to gibfocus, Mrs Beiso has alleged that she has information that indicates that Mrs Tosso has resigned her post and is expected to leave on the 22nd December, with an Acting CEO placed in her position.
Mrs Beiso stated to gibfocus that the Government should now come out with a full explanation as to why the alleged resignation has taken place, defending herself against allegations that the statements issued during the past weeks are false, and suggesting that if the resignation has taken place that she is being “proven right.”
Last week the Government issued a statement in which it reacted to accusations by the Opposition that the mother of a disabled child was being treated inhumanly. The Minister of Social Affairs stated that the allegations were “pure fabrication”.
Mrs Beiso has refuted the claims saying that she has documents providing proof of her claims and wishes to clear her name from the accusations that she is “lying.”
The Government has during the past week attacked the Opposition’s past track record in regards to the treatment of the Social Services Agency, especially in the case of the Disabled, calling it an era of “complete neglect, inaction, and lack of funding”.
The Government rejected the case put forward by the Opposition by outlining the communication and services given by the Minister and Social Services Agency to Mrs Beiso.
Reports that a resignation has taken place at the Social Services Agency has however fuelled a response from Mrs Beiso who, when speaking to gibfocus, claimed that she has not been fabricating the story as accused by Government and wishes for the Social Services Minister to give a full public explanation on why any resignation has allegedly taken place.
